The high-performance Composite Polymeric Silicone insulators play an indispensable role here. The silicone rubber insulation for composite silicone-based housing demonstrates excellent pollution layer characteristics. Compote polymeric silicone insulators with silicone rubber possess unique properties. Silicone rubber Is the fastest growing& most dominant polymeric insulation material for high voltage product.
Composite Polymeric Silicone Insulators are available for applications up to system voltage of 33 kV and provide a reliable solution for power utilities& Railways globally. All PM insulators are manufactured at high pressure and high temperature by direct injection molding machines.
Composite Polymeric Silicone Insulators consist of silicone housing over fiberglass rod to which galvanized steel or aluminum end fining are attached. The core of the insulator is of fiberglass rod which provides high mechanical strength. A metal end fitting is crimped onto each end of the rod to provide high mechanical strength.
Composite Polymeric Silicone Insulators are made with the most advanced materials (silicone-based) resulting from field experience gained for more than 30 years.
The perfect interface between rod and silicone housing will not allow any development of internal tracking under the silicone housing.
PM make Composite Polymeric Silicon Insulators have been designed, developed and manufactured in compliance to International Standard IEC 61109
The inner core of the insulator is made of high-quality fiberglass that has been specially formulated for electrical and mechanical applications.
The housing and sheds are one piece. injection-molded silicone rubber is chemically bonded to the inner core. The silicone compound provides excellent hydrophobic and recovery characteristics which limits leakage current.
The end fitting is made of high strength forged steel having high mechanical strength. The steel end fittings are hot-dip galvanized.
